No rookie player has created quite such a splash on the Euroleague scene this season as has Partizan Belgrade center Aleks Maric, a key force in the team's push for a berth in the Top 16. Born to Serbian parents in Australia, Maric also played in America and Spain before coming to Partizan this season. And it seems to be a perfect fit. Maric has not needed any adjustment period to Euroleague play. Through six games, he leads the league in fouls drawn, is second in index ranking and rebounding and also features in the top 10 in both field goal shooting and steals. On top of that, Maric is Partizan's leading scorer. More remarkable about Maric's growth under head coach Dusko Vujosevic is the fact that last season, in his first season as a professional in Spain, he played only 12 minutes per game for Granada. Now is you chance to ask this rising star about his road to success that took him to three countries on three continents before finding a home in Belgrade.
